Our Mission & Impact

The Ahman Green Foundation was founded by Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame running back Ahman Green to extend his lifelong commitment to making a positive impact in the community. The foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for children and families whose lives have been affected by hardship and terminal illness.

Through the work of The Ahman Green Foundation, Ahman has supported children and adults battling cancer by raising funds and awareness for cancer resource centers, as well as supporting animal sanctuaries, food pantries, rescue missions, and youth development initiatives, among others. In addition to his work through the foundation, Ahman is actively involved with several other organizations, including the Alzheimer’s Association, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Boys & Girls Clubs of Wisconsin and Nebraska, and

A Message from
the Founder

Growing up in Los Angeles, I attended 42nd Elementary School, where my early exposure to technology began. My father worked in the IT department at Northrop Aviation, and one day he brought home an Apple II computer that needed repairs. After fixing it, he asked me to play a few games to ensure it was working properly. He showed me how to power on the computer and access the software, and soon I found myself playing Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego? and The Oregon Trail. I had a great time exploring both games.

Prior to that experience, my father had also brought home a ColecoVision, so I was already familiar with gaming consoles. Not long after, 42nd Elementary partnered with Crenshaw High School to introduce elementary students to computer technology. The computers used in this program were Apple II PCs—technology I had already been fortunate enough to experience at home.

Being introduced to computers and gaming consoles at an early age opened my eyes to an entirely new world of technology. I recognize how fortunate I was to have that exposure at such a young age. Unfortunately, there are far too many children across the United States—and around the world—who have not had similar opportunities, even well into adulthood.

As an Esports Coach, I witnessed this firsthand when one of my student-athletes did not have access to a gaming PC until their senior year of college in 2020, at the age of 21. That experience became the catalyst for my commitment to developing a program that places a PC in front of every student—from elementary school through college and university levels. This vision also extends to community centers and Boys & Girls Clubs across the nation, and eventually worldwide.

By providing children with access to technology such as gaming PCs, webcams, microphones, headsets, keyboards, and mice, we can equip them with the digital fluency needed to explore a wide range of career pathways. Beyond becoming professional gamers or streamers, students can learn about opportunities such as Esports Director or Head Coach, Graphic Designer, Video Game Designer, Shoutcaster, IT professional, Cybersecurity specialist and many more.
